Rare vintage Greif Gold No. 1549 piston filler fountain pen from Germany, early 1950s (Greif-Werke, later acquired by Pelikan).
Black celluloid with orange/amber ink window, two green cap bands + one gold-filled band, gold-filled arrow clip with stag emblem on cap top.
Original 14k solid gold EF nib with excellent flex – superb line variation and smooth writing.
Excellent original condition: no cracks, bright colors, piston works but it does not make a good vacuum. The cork has dried out from standing, it needs to be replaced. Highly collectible postwar German classic.
